- In dealing with this ‘closed loop' of perception, the artist views art-making as a dynamic and transformative medium, rather than simply a means of illustrating an idea. This strategy is evident in early projects such as ‘Childhood', an installation developed as a collaboration with 3 other artists (Mustafa Muluka, Ice and Sky 1) from different parts of Cape Town. The project used painting as a medium for conversation between different visual languages and cultural backgrounds.
