' I don't know why but people are always starting conversations with me in public. I mean total strangers, they sense something vacant about me and in no time at all they.re telling me their whole life story.'

The artist/narrator presents first his profile as if looking away to think and then turning back to the camera to resume his story. He presents himself as a passive-aggressive character who is unable to claim his personal space and avoid having to endure a conversation with his persistent fellow traveller. The piece is edited in a series of segments in which the artist is alternately laughing and crying.

produced by the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten.
